Wasps' Nests
(CD/TAPE/7": 1995)
The 6ths are a Stephin Merritt side project intended to be a mock "tribute" album to Stephin. For The 6ths, Merritt pens and produces the words and music, but then invites a diverse cast of singers to handle the vocal duties. Wasps' Nests was released on London Records in 1995 and in the UK on Factory Too Records as a CD and a Tape. London also released it with one extra track as box set of 4 seven inches called the Wasps' Nests 6 and 6/6ths Inch Box Set. The first track was released alone as a promo CD and College Music Journal (CMJ) released a promo version of the entire album with different artwork.
